Job DetailsProvide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.Follow standards of safe radiation practice.Demonstrate leadership abilities and act as a clinical resource to students and staff technologists.Assure current standards of practice for the unit.Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for self and patients.Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.Prepare patients for exams and provide information regarding procedures.Assist patients during exams and position them appropriately.Observe patients and equipment during procedures and document occurrences.Facilitate smooth patient flow and optimal use of resources.Communicate effectively with physicians and hospital staff.Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.Maintain technical operation of equipment and notify service when necessary.Engage in professional activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Job RequirementsKnowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging including Surgery and Trauma.Previous Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers.

Schedule InformationAbility to provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.

Additional DetailsFloating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified 'float zone'.Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with Centura policy.
