Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic-minded Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic procurement team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that align with the company's goals, driving cost efficiencies, and fostering strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mindset and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs, improve quality, and enhance supplier performance.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate market trends, and assess risks associated with sourcing decisions.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering collaboration.
  • Negotiation:
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Cost Analysis:
  • Perform total cost of ownership analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, and quality assurance) to understand their needs and incorporate them into sourcing strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Track and report on supplier performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including developing contingency plans for potential disruptions.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, savings achieved, and market conditions to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in construction.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and market research tools.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications:
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
