Project Analyst

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Accountant/Analyst in the Defense Software industry based in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado. The role is centered around managing and analyzing accounting data for our DOD projects, utilizing a range of accounting software systems, and ensuring compliance with federal government and engineering contracts. You will be completing estimates for specific contracts, forecasting and reforecasting projects as they are pushed up or out. You will help be doing a breakdown and each job and the costs per projects - this is upwards of 100 projects at any given time. This position is local to Colorado Springs, those who are not local will NOT be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the operation of Accounting Software Systems to ensure efficient management of financial data.

• Utilizing Costpoint and Deltek to track and manage project costs.

• Employing Deltek Vision for project management and accounting functions.

• Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal government and engineering contracts.

• Handling Contracts Finance, ensuring all financial aspects of our contracts are well managed.

• Leveraging Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Utilizing OneStream for corporate performance management.

• Managing and resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise in the financial data or accounting processes.

• Ensuring all accounting activities align with the industry standards and regulations.

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a financial analyst or program control analyst position, or similar role

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting

• Skilled in using Deltek and Deltek Vision, or similar system

• Background in defense contracting, government finance, or program controls highly preferred

• Proficiency in EVMS, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, MS Excel, and government reporting tools

• Familiarity with Federal Government Contracts is essential

• Experience with OneStream software is a plus
