Job SummaryWe are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team! We are seeking a motivated, dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in outpatient physical therapy. (Orthopedic, sports rehab, pain management, neuro rehab including: post stroke, pelvic floor, and vertigo etc.) The Physical Therapist will provide quality patient care, consult with the primary care providers , and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate works well both independently and within a team, can maintain a positive attitude to encourage patients in recovery, and has existing knowledge of physical therapy guidelines and recommendations. Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients based on past medical history, current symptoms, and correlating psychosocial factors to determine a diagnosis.
  • Determine the best course of treatment to meet patient needs and recommend a proper plan of care in accordance with diagnosis and/or protocol.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical progression of exercise and treatment, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories.
  • Direct and educate patients with exercise and teach patients how to use support devices such as prostheses and crutches.
  • Document the services and medications a patient receives concisely and accurately.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
  • Provide treatments in accordance with plan of care based on patient need and symptoms using exercise, manual, and modality based therapies.
  • Take on new responsibilities as needed and be willing to take new classes in order to gain knowledge and expertise in new areas.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Communicate with other physical therapist/physical therapist assistants to maintain consistent and high quality patient care.
  • Delegate appropriate interventions to and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants
Qualifications
  • Doctorate and / or Masters in Physical Therapy
  • Current or upcoming board exam for state license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Colorado
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed
  • Ability to create a positive, nurturing environment
