Meyers Heating + Air is looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to help advance us to the next level. This is the first role of its kind within our organization and is needed to help create and maintain best practices for our field departments and help to create high skilled HVAC technicians from the ground up!
The Operations Manager has HVAC management experience and a passion for developing and mentoring HVAC Technicians. This individual must be a proven leader who is goal oriented, self-motivated and personable. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional presentation skills are a must. Duties consist of strategic planning and rollout of a performance driven training program based on doing things the right way, not the easy way. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader that will develop, design, coordinate and instruct training programs intended to engage, educate and motivate individuals of different skill levels.
Day to Day Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administration: Help create standard processes and documentation for the Service Call process including an order of operations for performing annual maintenance, tune-ups and diagnosing systems.
- Quality Assurance: Review callbacks and conduct callback meeting with all field team members to ensure corrections and trainings are taking place. Will review and assist in training on significant callbacks and ensure any client concern is successfully resolved. Assist with client concerns that may require visits to our clients' homes to help troubleshoot and train.
- Training: Manage all technical learning development initiatives and projects including sourcing, scheduling, coordinating, and performing employee training. Create an on-going training program designed to elevate employees job knowledge and prepare them for advancement in their trade and skill knowledge. Design a blended approach to learning to include classroom, 1 on 1 sessions, field training, and e-learning. Work with General Managers, to identify training opportunities based on the technical needs of the team.
- Strategic: Work with the Executive Team to plan and execute strategic initiatives to help advance both companies. Work closely with the General Managers to discuss needs, scheduling and coordination of training.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years residential HVAC experience required
- 2 year supervisory/management experience.
- Must be able to travel at various times to both Boulder, CO and Colorado Springs, CO (our two locations)
- Advanced knowledge and experience with mini split, heat-pump and standard AC/Furnace installation and service
- Change management experience
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Complete Trade knowledge of all HVAC systems
- Candidate must possess exceptional Service/Troubleshooting skills
- Must be highly detail oriented
- Must be able to take initiative
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have strong leadership qualities
- Must have excellent time management and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years HVAC training experience preferred
HVAC Journeymans license highly preferred
Compensation & Hours:
Salary: $85,000 -$90,000 DOE (bonuses based on overall department achievement)
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
