Big Impact Tech is seeking an experienced NES DevOps Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitLab, Nexus, and Python. This role requires proficiency in configuration management processes and an understanding of managing version control systems. The position will be based in Colorado Springs, CO, with the potential for travel to alternate work locations, including Schriever AFB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain a CI/CD pipeline for the NES Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Manage GitLab, ensuring proper documentation, training, and reporting is completed.
  • Execute data management utilizing program tools, including documentation and training.
  • Facilitate meetings and review boards as needed.
  • Develop and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics related to CI/CD pipeline and configuration management areas.
  • Provide release management support as required.
  • Apply principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex problems with creative and comprehensive solutions.
  • Frequently interface with internal and external customers, representing the organization in solving difficult technical issues.
  • Execute configuration management processes and manage configuration documentation and change control.
Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • DevOps Expertise: Strong experience as a DevOps engineer, particularly with GitLab and configuration management processes.
  • Configuration Management: Proficiency in maintaining the hardware configuration management plan, change control, status accounting, and audit verification.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and train others on tools like GitLab.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues, applying creative solutions.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers, contributing to the overall success of the C2BMC program.
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Education/Experience:
  • Active DoD Final Secret Security Clearance required prior to starting.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer, with proficiency in GitLab concepts (branching, merging, etc.).
  • Experience managing large data repositories and document folder structures.
  • Familiarity with maintaining configuration items, status accounting, and change control.
  • Desired: Experience in Jira, Confluence, and basic network engineering.
  • Prior experience in a DoD environment or C2BMC is highly desirable.
  • An active Top Secret clearance is a plus.
Work Environment:

  • On-site full-time position based in Colorado Springs, CO, with potential travel to alternate work locations.
  • Some flexibility in scheduling, including a 4x10 work week, with three days off.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $91,600.00 - $137,400.00 per year
