Job Description
The Membership Services Coordinator supports the operation and administration of USA Weightlifting's national office in the Sport Development areas which include, but are not limited to, membership services, grassroots programs and coach development programs. This role also supports USAW's national events by providing customer service in advance and in-person operational support at such events. Periodic travel is required.

Reports to: Membership Manager

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:We expect that the person filling this role will spend 80% of their time supporting our frontline membership, grassroots, and coach development service and 20% of their time supporting our event services.

Sport Development - Membership Services/Grassroots/Coach Development (80%).
  • Front-line customer success to assist members on the telephone & support desk/email for questions and concerns
  • Provide operational support with Membership, Grassroots and Coach Development activities/programs
  • Manage the needs of our Weightlifting State Organizations (WSOs) including elections, event sanctioning and website updates
  • Other duties as assigned

Events (20%)
  • Front-line customer success to assist members on the telephone & support desk/email for questions and concerns
  • Support event registration & results management in USAW's digital membership and events management system
  • Provide operational support at national events
  • Provide monthly data reports as needed

Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with digital membership/customer management systems a plus
  • Willingness to participate in positive, collaborative, member- and athlete-focused culture
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Creative, proactive, and positive attitude toward customer service
  • Strong professionalism, verbal, written, listening, and public speaking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise sound independent judgment
  • Commitment to athlete safety, ethical conduct in sport and anti-doping
  • Background check, U.S. Center for SafeSport certification and U.S. Anti-Doping education required

Location:
  • Colorado Springs (hybrid)
  • Office work from USA Weightlifting's headquarters office in the Olympic Sport House
  • Periodic remote work options available

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt
