Job Summary:


The Manager of Enterprise Communication Services drives the vision, strategy, and team development to deliver Infrastructure technology services, cellular systems & administration, and mountain/Resort-based infrastructure. This position leads the development of collaborative partnerships with Vail Resorts IT and Resort & business leaders to drive our communications infrastructure and business strategy. The leader of the Enterprise Communications Services team must gain a deep understanding of how the business operates, including drivers for success and key challenges. This leader translates that understanding into a clear roadmap to manage and balance operations, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will have a positive, service-oriented approach to Resort infrastructure operations, and superior technical infrastructure experience. Additionally, we are seeking a candidate with strong budget and vendor management skills. This position is a key member of the IT Infrastructure Leadership team, managing a team of system engineers, and reporting to the Director of Communications Infrastructure.

Lead:




  • Visionary leadership, direction, and people development for the Enterprise Communications Services team.




  • Delivery of enterprise architecture, engineering, and delivery of robust mountain and Resort based wireline & wireless network infrastructure

  • Management of an engineering team, projects, budgets, service catalog, and technology roadmaps.

Drive : Develop and drive ownership and accountability across the Infrastructure team in support of business objectives and supporting IT initiatives with a Business Leaders First mindset.




  • Able to facilitate multi-disciplinary strategic discussions with senior business and technology leaders combined with strong, clear, and concise communication skills




  • Provide leadership and alignment to the Infrastructure, Application teams, and LOB’s to ensure successful implementation of key initiatives across the enterprise eco-system.




  • Provide project/program facilitation and oversight; facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, provide overall project/program issue resolution and roadblock removal.




  • Partner with Information Security, IT application teams, Business Leadership in execution of roadmaps that aligns with our Business Strategy.

Job Requirements:


Required




  • 5+ years of leadership and relevant work experience, project management experience including proven ability to successfully lead and oversee critical infrastructure projects and cross-functional initiatives.




  • Ability to drive strategy, vision, direction, and prioritization of enterprise-wide projects and programs at the leadership level.




  • Strong working knowledge of outside plant design & maintenance, cellular infrastructure technology, GIS, FTTH Project management and IT Service Management




  • Strength in leading and supporting production cable infrastructure, gis software, cellular services.




  • Development and presentation of business cases.




  • Manage initiatives from concept through completion.




  • Infrastructure architectural and engineering leadership; IT project and budget management.




  • Mature business financial acumen regarding operating and capital budgeting models.




  • Demonstrated experience building collaborative partnerships at every level of IT and business.




  • Able to demonstrate a people-first mentality when leading the team, tapping into employees' passions, and helping to shape their development within the company.

Preferred




  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Telecom Carrier, OSP Field Engineering & Design, or related communications field.




  • Strong vendor and contract management leadership.




  • Developing cellular infrastructure management and expansion.




  • Arc GIS experience; building and managing infrastructure mapping




  • Building and developing a team aligned to business strategy.




The expected Total Compensation for this role is $74,100 - $118,830 + Annual Bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
