Description of Duties:
The IT Project Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Serve as the project manager for events and engineering projects as a member of an IT Services and Support Delivery Team to a Department of Defense Joint Command.
• Provide technical oversight and project management for all phases of project planning, design, scheduling, execution, and reporting to ensure technical solutions for projects meet the mission, goals, and objectives established by the customer.
• Manage all discrete projects for the delivery team including established subcontractor efforts and engineering work.
• Implement solutions, upgrades, enhancements, and reconfigurations; completing planning, design, procurement, implementation, and documentation of all work.
• Utilize an ERP to catalog and monitor all work flows and project artifacts and documentation.
• Brief the customer monthly to communicate project status and resource requirements.
• Perform detailed scheduling activities utilizing Microsoft Project.
• Integrate project scheduling into Earned Value financial management process.
• Interface with the parent organizations Engineering Review Board in order to validate requests, align with facility standards, and integrate solutions across the facility.
• Be prepared to interface directly with the customer on a daily basis and assisting with regular operations and maintenance activities when required.
• Develop, maintain, and coordinate technical documentation, engineering drawings, for newly developed, existing, or modified systems. Ensure change documents are available for the customer use.
• Conduct knowledge management with all project documentation and artifacts for future use.
• Performing comprehensive risk management. Assessing, recommending and implementing mitigation steps.
• Provide project close out documentation to the customer.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience
• Must have 1 year of Project Management supervisory or leadership experience over direct reports and/or subcontractors
• Must have 7 years of directly related experience
• Understanding of both traditional waterfall project management and agile methodology
• Experience successfully delivering IT related projects
• Experience with system development, improvement, and optimization
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Visio
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
Desired Requirements:
• PMI Certification in Project Management, PMP, CAPM
• Experience with Microsoft PowerBI or other data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Experience working with Earned Value
• Experience with the Missile Defense Agency or Department of Defense
This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
