Responsibilities
- Provide direction and supervision forsheet metaljourneymen, apprentices, and helpers.
- Manage and maintain a safe job site. Make sure all necessary PPE is on site. Conduct weekly safety meetings and audits. Preview each work assignment for potential safety issues. Maintain a ZERO TOLERANCE for unsafe work practices.
- Interfaces professionally and proactively with our customers and sub-contractors throughout all phases of the project.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager on project needs as required. Understand our complete scope of work. Anticipate scope changes and cost impacts early. Submit detailed RFI (Requests for Information) so appropriate Change Orders ensure that the job is completed efficiently and that all costs are covered.
- Pre-plan the job. Visualize anticipate and organize the construction sequence and flow.
- Take off orders and schedule material and equipment deliveries.
- Proficient in the areas of Blueprint reading, equipment, job specifications, and submittals.
- Maintain a current knowledge of Mechanical Inspection Codes. Coordinate and schedule inspections as needed.
- Provide a jobsite work environment based on respect, competence, fairness satisfaction, and quality. Promote a team atmosphere.

Job requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/ Completed and tested out of apprenticeship program or like experience
- Minimum 8,000 hours of HVACsheet metaljourneyman employment history (3 documented projects with lead journeyman experience)
- Ability to lift/move 80-100 pounds several times daily. Must be able to work outdoors in hot or below-freezing temperatures
- Must be able to work from ladders and scaffolds. Must have good vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, working overhead, and lifting
- Exposed to a moderate noise environment (ZERO TOLERANCE FOR UNSAFE WORK PRACTICES)
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
