Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Veterinarian Technician
to join the team at our successful clinic. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you. Needs to work well with others and be a teacher to the assistants.
Responsibilities
Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic
Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history
Take vital signs and acquire blood samples
Assist with surgeries and monitor animals after surgery
Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients
Keep accurate patient records
supervise assistants
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
Knowledge of animal care and handling
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
Patience and a love for animals
dependable, Mondays are a mandatory
Salary is negotiable based on experience
Salary is negotiable $22 is for LEAST amount of experience. A more experienced tech that is certified and licensed will make a higher salary. We are small clinic but growing fast. We are looking for someone with strong social skills that can work well with others and lead by example. We have very happy clients, and our reputation is very important to us. We are looking for someone that wants to work in a positive atmosphere and enjoys the patients and their owners as well as their co-workers. We are also very family oriented; we make sure our employees are able to have quality family time around all holidays. We are closed on Saturdays and work half days on Fridays giving you a little extended weekend. Come join our growing family.
