POSITION SUMMARY

The Denver Director of Development will further the mission of Roundup River Ranch through philanthropic revenue generation, and planning and engaging in a broad range of strategic stewardship and cultivation activities to expand the portfolio of primarily Denver-based individual and major gift donors to meet budgeted revenue targets.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for stewarding and growing a robust portfolio of primarily Denver based donors
  • In coordination with the VP of Advancement, develop and implement strategic annual and long-term fundraising plans, specific to Denver, Front Range & surrounding areas
  • Actively solicit, cultivate and steward new and existing individual donors at the 'Major Gifts' level ($5000+); utilize 'moves management' to advance and grow portfolio
  • Engage in quarterly revenue forecasting and regular activity review
  • Maintain detailed records of donor and prospect activity in Raisers Edge database
  • Prepare donor proposals and supporting materials to assist donors in reaching their philanthropic goals
  • Plan and execute cultivation events and A Taste of Camp Gala Denver in partnership with the VP of Advancement, Events Manager, and Development team
  • Actively participate and support broader development team initiatives (e.g. Colorado Gives Day, Countdown to Camp, end of year giving) including active engagement in staff and committee meetings
  • Partner with the VP of Advancement, CEO and VP of Strategic Partnerships & Funding to identify and support new funding opportunities
  • Actively participate in revenue tracking, pipeline management, and gala/events receivables
  • Support comprehensive campaign efforts and other special campaigns (e.g., pavilion funding) that may develop from time to time
  • Assist with identifying strategic partnership opportunities
  • Collaborate with members of the Development Team and CEO to engage corporate relationships to support revenue goals
  • Work with the VP of Advancement and CEO on new Denver Committees (ATOC, 20th Anniversary, Advisory)
  • Help establish a Denver-based "Raise A Little Hell Club" modeled off the Eagle County RALH Club
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

JOB COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and work within deadlines
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision due to remote work location
  • Ability to engage with donors with professionalism
  • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar database
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively, strong collaboration and team building skills required
  • Proven organization and administrative abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Computer proficiency and practical experience in word processing, Excel, database, and internet navigation
  • Proven track record as a fundraising professional
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
