Job Description
The Development Director is responsible for working with the Colorado leadership team to support Dungarvin's growth and development initiatives throughout the state. Current services in Colorado include Host Home and Children's Foster Care, Residential Supports such as Independent Living, and Day Programs. This position will seek to expand existing services and develop new service opportunities by networking with potential business partners, marketing Dungarvin services, and establishing and maintaining relationships with funders, oversight agencies, and other stakeholders.
Utilize research and data analysis to design new marketing strategies for growth throughout the state of Colorado; staying up to date with current and local trends in Intellectual and Developmental Disability services
Assess competition and see where services are needed in both urban and rural markets in order to diversify Dungarvin's services
Work closely with the State Director to analyze current goals, business needs, and plan financially for growth
Promote and market existing programs and services while pursuing new development opportunities
Oversee the onboarding procedures for new developments, which include contractors and placement of individuals served in programs
Establish relationships with members of state services, referral networks, executives from other agencies, case managers, and state legislative leadership to learn of potential growth opportunities
Generate new revenue streams through contracts and grant proposals to obtain funding from state, federal, local, and private agencies.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business/marketing OR 3 years of experience in the field
Experience in development for other human services organizations preferred, including hospitals, I/DD services, behavioral health, elder care, etc.
Must be comfortable with frequent travel throughout the state of Colorado (mileage reimbursed)
Previous leadership experience preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills; can easily build relationships with high level stakeholders and external partners
Excellent decision making and time management skills, with the ability to work independently
