Data Management Specialist
Ability to obtain a Public Trust, US Citizenship required
The Data Management Specialist will support mission requirements for the USAFA customer. Oversee the scheduling, forecasting, reporting and coordination of assigned staffing positions, vendors, and resident activities. Work with project team and leadership to ensure resources are available per contract requirements and anticipated needs. Responsible for resolving scheduling issues with minimal impact to the project operation.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Data Management Specialist: Wage range starting at $90,000
Pay commensurate with experience.

Data Management Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain the project tracker dashboard showing project execution timelines and key event milestones on a weekly basis.
- Maintain the Engineering Flight SharePoint pages, to include posting of the dashboard, meeting minutes, and calendar of key events.
- Conduct reviews of professional studies, reports, and analysis
- Oversees the development of weekly and daily schedule to ensure staffing needs are compliant with contract requirements.
- Creates and implements scheduling processes and initiatives to enhance activities and improve efficiencies.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for the assigned scheduling system and provide training/guidance to scheduling team as needed.
- Develops effective communication strategy, processes and relationship with vendors/resource managers to proactively ensure project needs are met in a timely manner.
- Monitors projects' progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date including critical path analysis.
- Create and maintain a work task completion rate chart based on Maximo/NexGen reports.
- Creates a semi-annual project risk assessment with visualization based on analysis of overlapping tasks and schedules.
- Provides coordination and collaboration of risk assessments.
- Maintains current engineering/project data for assigned projects in specified Enterprise Business System (TRIRIGA), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office or other software, as specified by Government direction.
- Provides strategic partnership to leadership regarding reporting needs and analysis in systems of record.
- Provides input to other project deliverables as necessary.
- Audits data to ensure integrity of reporting systems and develops additional training and enhancements to address gaps identified.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Data Management Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience in data and project management.
- Experience as a project scheduler in a related industry.
- Experience working in Air Force Civil Engineer operations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in managing data, data analysis, and data quality assurance, with experience transforming data into reports using pivot tables and other data compilation techniques.
- Skilled in using ACES/NexGEN, BUILDER Sustainment Management Systems, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficiency in MS Project scheduling software and SharePoint.
Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional groups, coordinate activities across all levels, and build internal and external relationships.
Project Management:
- Knowledge of scheduling and reporting resources.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
