Our newly formed Colorado Springs location is seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Crew Chief/Operations Manager. Our rapidly growing team is in need of leaders to help successfully launch and support our growing network of clients. As Crew Chief/Operations Manager you will be ask to perform duties, operate machinery and oversee a variety of projects spread out across our regions which include Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the Western Slope/I-70 corridor (with a primary focus on Colorado Springs/Pueblo). This franchisee is backed by a family office that has been investing in Colorado Springs since 2020 and the Crew Chief/Director of Operations role will have the ability to grow within the various businesses.
Projected 40 plus hours per week (beginning March through November, weather permitting.) The winter months do not allow for painting and asphalt restoration. Initial pay structure will be hourly (based on workload with overtime.) Weekends and night work required as applicable). As the business continues to grow, this role has the potential to transition to a salaried role with benefits. The ideal candidate will have the ability to grow alongside the business with an opportunity to assume a senior leadership role in the future. Moving forward, the business will transition into specialty interior floor coatings, interior line striping and the new revolutionary traffic paint technology of TBL Durables.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage, plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project while maintaining a safe, hazard-free job site
· Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling , sealcoating and infrared repair
· Clean and maintain tools, equipment and work areas
· Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
· Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
· Work directly with ownership to grow business and operational excellence
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
· Proven experience as a Crew Chief or similar senior role within the asphalt, construction or maintenance industry
· Ability to follow a system of performance to detail.
· Ability to lead, educate and support team members.
· Ability to overcome adversity, improvise in a pinch and foresee problems before they occur.
· Understand the importance of punctuality, organization and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs)
· Ability to work well independently unsupervised
· Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including experience with small engines (like lawnmowers) and/or paint sprayers
· Must have driver’s license along with clean driving record and background check. Additionally, Candidates will be required to provide multiple references, both personal and professional.
