As a CSS with Carlson Financial, you’ll be working with a team that puts the client first in implementing their retirement plan. Your priorities will include: 1) Aiding clients as they come on board by opening investment accounts and providing support in annuity and life insurance evaluations, 2) Servicing existing clients with account servicing requests including beneficiary changes/withdrawals, index annuity reallocations, incoming client service calls, and database management, and 3) Preparing for client reviews by updating client account summaries and prepping the Financial Advisor for review meetings.


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in Wealth or Asset Management
  • Series 65 Securities Registration and insurance license preferred, or willing to obtain if pursuing an advisor career path
  • Skilled with MS Office Suite, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to learn new software quickly

Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities

  • Review applications for accuracy and adherence to the financial plan prior to submission
  • Complete client service requests and resolve client issues
  • Coordinate and follow up on each client account or funds-transfer
  • Receive incoming client service calls in a friendly, professional manner
  • Maintain thorough notes and accurate client database records
  • Prepare client review summary for upcoming appointments
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and staff
  • Set client appointments for the Financial Advisor
  • Participation in marketing events as necessary
  • Occasionally assist in on-boarding new clients


Position Type: Full-Time

Location: In-Office Glen Allen, VA

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
