As an Associate Attorney with our team, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Work onsite alongside our team in a collaborative and efficient manner following our firm’s systems, processes, and deadlines
- Meet with and/or communicate with clients to discern their wishes which include engaging new clients and reviewing current client plans
- Draft appropriate documents including Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives
- Advise clients on estate, gift, Generation-Skipping Trust (GST), and income tax matters; explaining the firm’s approach to estate planning, engagements, and fees
- Achieve annual revenue goals that are established in line with your length of service, overall experience, and role
- Participate in marketing activities, including public speaking engagements, educational events and seminars, writing articles and blogs, and other activities as necessary
- Attend CLE as necessary to maintain competence and credentialing
- Provide support to our team with like tasks and others as required
To be a successful Associate Attorney with Mason Law & Planning, you will need:
- Juris Doctor (JD) Degree
- Current Bar license to practice law in the state of Colorado and in good standing with the Colorado State bar OR in process of obtaining Bar license or reciprocity to practice law in the state of Colorado
- One year of estate planning experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead in-person client meetings, engage new clients, advise current clients, and draft estate and business planning documents preferred
- Highly skilled in effective and clear communication presented in a professional business manner
- Ability to be a great team player and coworker
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to exceptional customer service
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize, and exercise sound judgement skills and solve problems
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
