Vice President Land Development
Location: Colorado
We are partnering with a leading civil engineering firm to find a Vice President to lead and grow operations in one of their strategic regional markets. This is a high-impact leadership role with oversight of a $30M+ portfolio and the opportunity to shape the future of land development services in their region.
About the Role:
This VP will be responsible for driving business growth, managing senior operational leaders, and delivering high-quality civil site development services for large-scale residential and commercial projects. You will play a key role in client engagement, team development, and operational excellence across your region.
What You'll Do: Lead regional operations and team performance across land development projects.
Guide strategic planning, resource allocation, and financial oversight for your region.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of Group and Team Leaders.
Develop client relationships with top national and regional home builders and commercial developers.
Oversee execution of site planning, grading, drainage, and permitting.
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure project delivery aligns with client expectations and company standards.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through both personal network and strategic initiatives.
Help shape the regional presence and reputation of the organization.
What We're Looking For: Civil engineering background with deep experience in land/site development.
Track record of leading large residential subdivision projects (10k 250k+ homes) and/or commercial site development.
Strong leadership and mentorship abilities with experience managing technical teams.
Deep familiarity with local markets and regulations in the Colorado region.
A strong network of developer and builder relationships in your state; existing book of business is a plus.
15+ years of progressive experience in land development, ideally with prior P&L or regional leadership responsibility.
Education: Degree in Civil Engineering (highly preferred), Architectural Landscape, Technical degree, or similar
Professional Engineering license preferred
