Job Description

A Top CPA firm in the area is looking to add a* Tax Associate *to their growing team. This stable and growing firm offers clients valuable knowledge and expertise in tax. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a *Tax Associate* to join a team of highly motivated staff.

* Organizing and analyzing clients’ financial information
* Establishing and updating client records
* Preparing necessary forms for filing taxes
* Advising clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related matters
* Filing tax returns on paper or electronically on behalf of clients
* Staying current on IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensuring full compliance
* Assisting with audits by gathering and preparing financial information

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
* CPA preferred or eligible
* 1 years of proven experience in public accounting preferred
* Analytical skills to review financial information
* Strong written and oral communication skills to explain information to clients
* Knowledge of IRS rules and regulations as well as state and local tax laws
* Familiarity with tax preparation and accounting software and electronic tax filing systems
* Multitasking skills to handle multiple clients’ tax preparations at the same time
* Organizational skills to maintain clean records
* Strong time management skills to complete work within strict deadlines
