Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Professionally represents GH Phipps and effectively supports Company strategic initiatives.
Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with internal customers and business partners.
Assists in creating the Company strategic plan. Develop and communicate plans for the Division that align with and support the overall Company organizational goals
Actively attract, pursue, and assist in qualifying leads on potential clients and jobs. Consistently brings in leads and wins new opportunities from existing and former clients where possible.
Leads interview teams in pursuit of new work and serves as a PX for projects as needed.
Actively develops and maintains positive relationships with key past and present clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and developers. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty for future projects.
Collaborates with the marketing department to support Southern Colorado’s Market brand standards.
Build and develop a high-performing team of leaders and managers capable of executing the work at a high level and ensuring an exceptional building experience.
Directly oversees the Southern Colorado team.
Mentors and develops a strong team of subordinate managers toward their professional goals.
Actively participates in company operations protocols and processes and works to hold the standard of care in those areas.
Works to drive the Lean process into the company culture and procedures.
Coordinates regional efforts with other departments, including Business Development and Marketing, Preconstruction, Special Projects, Operations, Concrete, MB Bim, and all support departments.
Assure all construction projects are completed to meet the established goals and the requirements of owners, subcontractors, and the GH Phipps strategic direction.
Will Strive to achieve all Profit and Loss goals for the Division.
Works to recruit new employees and serves as a mentor to them in the organization.
Will Participate in other internal groups, committees, and entities as deemed appropriate to support GH Phipps.
Actively participate in community groups, business associations, and industry organizations in the Southern Colorado market.
Serves as a Management resource for Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Community.
Promotes all company-sanctioned events
Is responsible for the Southern Colorado work facilities
Promotes construction safety and a professional, safe working environment
Uses safety equipment as prescribed by company to ensure safety on jobsite
As a safety sensitive position, complete adherence to alcohol and drug use policies set by company
In-person, reliable and predictable attendance at assigned location
Resides within the Southern Colorado Market
SKILLS
Knowledge of the construction industry, project management, and building essentials
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Construction Management or equivalent degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent education and training
EXPERIENCE
At least ten (10) years’ experience in preconstruction and/or project management or field superintendent-related work experience.
At least ten (7) years’ experience managing and mentoring a Team with successful results
At least ten (5) years’ experience with client management/business development.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills
Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens
The salary range for this position is
$
140,000 – 180,000
annually
and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.
