Salary Range: $163,000-$228,000 in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

Job Description:
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our development efforts, driving major projects with your expertise and vision. This role is ideal for a seasoned software engineer looking to impact a growing company and the tech industry at large.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex software systems, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate new technologies and architectures into existing systems.
- Mentor other software engineers, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
- Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks.
- Write robust, maintainable code.
- Assist in strategic planning and roadmap development for software solutions.
- Engage in hands-on development of critical system components.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of software development.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong work history with Java, Python, or other major programming languages.
- Proficiency with Java build systems like Maven and Gradle.
- Leadership experience or roles in technology architecture.
- Strong background in applied security concepts and cloud-based infrastructures, particularly AWS.
- Big data technologies and data storage solutions.
- Proven ability in front-end and back-end development.
- Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degrees in computer science or related fields.
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification.
- Test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
- Proven knowledge with Java build systems like Maven and Gradle.
Required Education: 12+ years in software development and database engineering, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.
Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
