Job Description
Role Overview: Join our dynamic Managed Services team as a Network Engineer, where you'll encounter an exhilarating and demanding role that offers the opportunity to engage with diverse technologies. As a Network Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role within a team dedicated to delivering top-notch services to customers within a Managed/Cloud Hosting environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the deployment, maintenance, and administration of switch, router, firewall, load balancer, VoIP, and WLAN infrastructures.
  • Oversee maintenance agreements, ensuring consistent device configurations, accurate asset inventories, and up-to-date network diagrams and documentation.
  • Engage in network and security architecture, design, and auditing endeavors that adhere to the PCI Data Security Standard.
  • Configure and manage various IPsec LAN-to-LAN VPN connections within a multi-vendor context.
  • Collaborate within a global team framework to aid the Manager of Network Operations in shaping the strategic direction of data center and worldwide customer voice/data network infrastructures, emphasizing secure computing environments.
  • Participate in 24/7 Network Engineering On-Call support, sharing rotational responsibilities. • Champion continuous improvement across project methodologies, change management, security practices, and other corporate and Network Operations team policies.
  • Contribute actively to team-oriented approaches for problem-solving, system development, and operational activities.
Requirements

Requirements:
  • A four-year degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of network engineering experience; preference for experience in a managed services provider (MSP) environment.
  • Team Lead experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Network Architecture is desirable.
  • Strong comprehension of firewall rules and administration, with a preference for Palo Alto experience.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated grasp of the OSI Network Reference Model in a TCP/IP protocol and technologies context, encompassing Ethernet variants, VLANs, VRRP/HSRP, Spanning Tree/PVST, DiffServ QoS, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and IPSec.
  • Proficiency with SNMP monitoring and packet capture tools like PRTG, Nimsoft, SolarWinds®, Plixer Scrutinizer™ Analyzer, Wireshark, and tcpdump.
  • Understanding of network virtualization, automation, and software-defined networking principles.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, thriving within a collaborative team setting.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a penchant for innovation and rapid learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under high-pressure situations, showcasing strong time management skills and impeccable attention to detail.

The estimated base salary range for this position: $100,000 - $115,000. The actual salary range is based on fair market value based on your geographical location, skills, and role requirements, and responsibilities. This position also offers a variable bonus based upon company and individual performance and employee stock options. This posted compensation is a good faith and reasonable estimate. Denovo reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the selected candidate's qualifications.
