Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) Rapid Resilient Command and Control (R2C2) project will develop, integrate, and demonstrate capabilities for an end-to-end satellite operations (SatOps) ground system with the capability to fly Dynamic Space Operations (DSO) missions, leveraging a commercial cloud architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead and manage the development and integration of software solutions in the AWS GovCloud environment. Most applications are already developed and the focus is the integration of various applications.
· Use CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and integration. The development environment is already established.
· Collaborate with software developers and system architects to build scalable cloud applications
· Oversee containerization and orchestration using tolls such as Docker and Kubernetes
· Troubleshoot and resolve software integration issues, optimizing performance and scalability. This includes writing, triaging, and assigning Jira tickets.
· Coordinate the development and integration of subcontractor software products within defined schedules to meet all contract objectives.
· Write and update applicable software documentation, including ICD’s, user guides, and version description documents
· Generate and execute test plans and procedures from unit tests through mission test events.
· Serve as a subject matter expert amongst our subcontractors and customer community soliciting feedback, deriving requirements, providing input and presenting at design reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with AWS GovCloud, containers, scripting languages such as Python and Ruby, and networking concepts
· Experience managing engineering or software development programs for the United States Space Force (USSF)
· Strong analytical background with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes
· Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the project management disciplines.
· Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
· Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
· Active TS/SCI US government security clearance with SCI eligibility
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Prior experience supporting USSF R2C2 related programs such as Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) or Ground Command, Control and Communications (GC3)
· Experience with GMSEC, C2MS, AWS Diode, and more
· Experience with Satellite Ground system applications such Mission Management, Flight Dynamics, Constellation Management, and Orbital Planning.
· Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
WORK LOCATION
· This position can be performed in either Colorado Springs, CO or Albuquerque, NM
