Job Details
A Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and quality standards
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to determine project needs and set performance goals
Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with various trades and stakeholders
Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
Resolve on-site issues and emergencies promptly and effectively
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs and progress reports
Ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations
Coordinate with local authorities for necessary permits and inspections
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in k-12, higher ed and healthcare projects
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project)
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and industry standards
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
