This position requires a highly motivated and take-charge commercial loan servicing professional that understands the importance of providing superb customer service, the interdivisional impact commercial loan servicing plays, and its importance as a resource for both internal and external customers. The position reports to the Manager of Commercial Operations & Underwriting.

essential functions

Regularly:
  • Monitor all commercial insurance coverage, proactively contacting insurance providers for new premium and policy data;
    • foster strong working relationships with the insurance providers and property management firms
    • contact borrowers with non-escrowed loans for evidence of insurance
    • provide monthly insurance status reports
    • accurately post loan payments
    • monitor of State and County UCC filing continuations and providing monthly status reports
  • Process all commercial payments in the form of checks, wires, and manual ach
As needed:
  • Comply with all Internal and External Audit requests and guidelines
  • Complete vendor set-up/changes upon approval.
  • Complete applicable items of Phase II Part I, Phase II Part 2, and a portion of Phase III of the Commercial Loan Payoff Checklist
  • Submit disbursement requests for insurance and paid-off loans
  • Respond to audit confirmations;
  • Update procedures related to job tasks
  • Monitor requests that come through CS Support emails
    • i.e. requests for Insight user accounts and other loan-related requests
    • filter point for CLS faxes
  • Prepare documents for scanning, mail pickup and delivery, departmental policy, procedure, and desktop documentation
  • Provides back up support as directed for all areas of Commercial Loan Servicing
  • Participate in and contribute to all activities and/or projects that directly support CHFA in fulfilling its mission and achieving its vision through dedication to the community in which CHFA serves, operational excellence, and fiscal responsibility
  • Solid understanding of laws and regulations to ensure proper compliance and oversight on business processes.

experience/education

Minimum of two (2) years of previous work experience in commercial loans and performing related functions.

The incumbent in this position will perform the essential functions of the position in a hybrid environment, which requires sitting at a desk for most of the day with or without accommodation. This position requires medium to levels of interaction and collaboration with others.
