Job Title: Assistant Manager Ristorante Del Lago
Job Pay range:
$60,000-$65,000 -annual salary.

What you will be doing:
Execute service duties and assist in developing and executing training initiatives and procedures for all staff positions in accordance with The Broadmoor Standards of Excellence and Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond standards
Maintain high staff morale through positive reinforcement/feedback
Follow through on guest satisfaction and proper handling of guest comments
Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado liquor laws
Ensure the highest quality of food, beverages and service are provided to our guests through strong communication with the restaurant chef and kitchen staff
Ensure proper cash handling and accounting procedures are upheld
Assign duties, workstations, and responsibilities to staff and direct their performance
Establish strong customer relationships with guests by maintaining the atmosphere of the restaurant and keeping customer comfort and satisfaction in mind at all times and providing for the customer at every opportunity
Assist management with the reservation book ensuring maximum business without sacrificing guest comfort, paying special attention to VIPs and regular repeat customers
Keep the executive chef informed on a daily basis of important guests to the restaurant and any timing challenges the dining room may face
Direct and establish daily operational procedures for restaurant's employees in their daily responsibilities
Oversee ongoing, required, and necessary maintenance, sanitation, and upkeep to maintain the restaurant
Ensure station and side work is complete prior to staff departure
Assist restaurant chef and manager with menu development for food and beverages
Assist in conducting interviews, hiring, training, and scheduling staff to ensure correct staffing for service and profitability
Account for and record all comp ticket information for each shift
Assist manager with monthly inventory
Assist with appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining staff
Assist with leading and managing other supervisors which includes conducting weekly supervisor meetings
Facilitate hotel orientation classes as needed by HR Training Department
Actively participate in ongoing training programs through HR Training Department
Greet guests and show them to dining tables
Assist wait staff as needed
Requisition supplies such as glassware, china, and silverware
Suggest entrees, dinner courses, and wines to guests
Assist Manager with implementing, monitoring, updating, and measuring the training programs
Audit daily staff time cards to ensure all punches are correct and transfer staff wages to other departments according to work authorization forms
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts and assist with cost controls
Ensure all pertinent information on guest and staff activities are communicated to supervisor or manager of upcoming shift(s)
Ensure that all appropriate paperwork is completed and turned in including time logs, comp logs, and shift reports
Uphold and abide by The Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food products and preparation, food trends, wine and beverages, inclusive of overall department's knowledge
Comprehensive Italian wine knowledge.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What we are looking for:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience, especially in a restaurant setting, preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times
Ability to uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
Strong interpersonal communication skills
